Romantic hiking trail
A path adorned with wooden hearts and Swedish love poems reveals the romantic side of Norrland's inhabitants. The marked summer hiking trail, shaped by the Ice Age, winds along the shores of Stor-Stavträsket through a pine forest. Numerous small summer cottages in typical Swedish red and white line the path, authentically reflecting the local lifestyle. Almost every Swedish family owns a summer house, which they use on weekends and during holidays, usually located near their main residence. Holidays abroad are relatively rare; people prefer to spend their time at their second home or travel through the north in their own caravan.
The trail is approximately 4 km long and offers opportunities for barbecues and swimming. During mosquito season, it is advisable to bring insect repellent.
