Are you an experienced paddler with plenty of energy and strength?
The Bredsele round trip, which starts directly from our campsite, takes you downstream. About halfway along the route, you'll pass under a bridge. Bridge piers often create eddies and turbulence that can make your boat unstable. Therefore, pay attention to the current early on, position yourself optimally, and paddle actively to stay ahead of the current so you can maneuver your canoe. Around Bredsele, you'll find several barbecue areas, beaches, and places to relax.
Alternatively, you can follow the Skellefteälven River to Kusfors and admire the steam locomotive in front of Café Ångloket (an additional 4 kilometers).
The Skellefteälven has several shallow sections that can be challenging for canoeists depending on the water level. Be careful and navigate around sandbars and rocky outcrops. Keep in mind that the current speed and wind direction/strength will affect the effort and time required for the return trip. Depending on the strength of the current, the return journey on this tour can be a real challenge.
